Credit Repair is the process of correcting or reviving poor credit report and low credit scores. This is done through disputing inaccurate, outdated and unverifiable accounts that are being reported on your credit reports. Disputing can either be requesting for an account(s) to be updated with the correct information or requesting that an account(s) be deleted from your credit reports.
Yes, credit repair is absolutely legal. There are several consumer laws that protect us and our credit reports that many do not know about. For instance, the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) states that the consumer reporting agencies should be reporting on a consumer credit, personal, insurance, and other information in a manner which is fair and equitable to the consumer, with regard to confidentiality, accuracy, relevancy, and proper utilization of such information. Studies show that 4 out of 5 credit reports have errors. So we use the law in our clients favor.
There is no specific time frame on how long each individual will be in the program. The timing is according to the number of accounts and type of accounts being reported on your credit reports and the credit bureaus. Once a dispute letter is sent off, the credit bureaus have 30-35 days from the time they receive it to investigate and respond. From the data that we have collected, our client remain in our programs anywhere from 6-12 months.
Almost everything can be removed from your credit reports. However, we are only able to challenge the information, dispute the information and continue to fight the information on your behalf. This is where we use the law to fight for you.
No. You are not under contract and you have the option to cancel at anytime. We will have you sign a client agreement upon signing up, which allows us to work on your credit on your behalf and for billing purposes.
Refunds are allowed if you have had no deletions within 180 days of signing up for the program. Granted you have provided us with all of the documents and information we will need to proceed with your account. You have kept your credit monitoring the entire course of the program and you have not received any new negatives accounts or marks on your credit reports during the 180 days of sign-up. Please NOTE: If you receive at least one deletion within this time frame you will be disqualified from receiving a refund. Additionally, the enrollment fee non-refundable.
This will include pulling your credit reports to give a full depiction of your credit profile.
We will begin working on the dispute process for your credit profile.
Upon mailing the dispute letters off for you, we will wait 30-35 days to receive any responses or results from the credit bureaus. (Note: if you receive any letters from the credit bureaus or creditors, you will upload them into your client portal).
Once we hit the 35 days, we will pull your reports to check for any deletions or updates. This will help us determine our next plans of action. We will then prepare the next round of dispute letters (if needed).
